Capital FM Summer Ball

Saturday 9th June 2012 saw Wembley Stadium rock with 18 artists perform for 80,000 screaming fans, where I was one of the lucky few to witness the biggest show of the year: The Capital FM Summer Ball.
Coldplay kicked off the party with their hits Charlie Brown, Paradise, Yellow, Princess Of China, and Viva La Vida.
American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson then took to the stage. In an interview she said, "It was scary coming on after Coldplay, I could never live up to their performance." But I’m sure the rest of Wembley stadium will agree she was amazing.
The wild one that is Flo-Rida then rocked the stadium bringing out his guest singer Sia who is featured on his track Wild Ones. His set included whistles being launched into the crowd and Flo-Rida himself running into the crowd.
Capital FM then included a ‘breakers’ slot full of up-and-coming bands and artists that would do well in the rest of 2012. These included Cover Drive, Lawson and Connor Maynard.
It was then Usher's turn to make the audience jump. His new hit Scream got the crowd rocking and his dance moves made the women swoon.
Next, Cheryl Cole had a very bright jump suit on, and the boys that were sat around me were very happy to see her.
The Wanted certainly had us all chasing the sun, and girls crying. It was fair to say whenever they told the stadium to jump they did it without questioning.
Jessie J sang all of her number one hits, and a very special version of Who You Are. She delivered a speech about her past and how she got bullied. It was fair to say after that performance there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Ed Sheeran lit up the stadium when he asked everyone to wave they’re phones around for The A Team.
Justin Bieber was one of the last acts to perform, and it was definitely worth waiting for. The screams from a lot of girls there were very loud! He also asked the Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen to come on stage and perform.
Katy Perry headlined this party and was the last act to perform. She was amazing. She sang all of her singles and put on a very good show. She also mentioned her new 3D concert movie Part Of Me that is in cinemas now.
I had an amazing time, and judging by my Twitter feed on my way home I think everyone else there enjoyed it too!
