If you're looking for something to do this summer why not check out the events we'll be supporting with lots of FREE activities for young people 11 - 25 years old.

There lots going on like skating, workshops, training days fun days, and much more. So check out this link to our summer booklet and see what's going on for you. 

Also don't forget to check the events section on the BYG for the day to day activities that are taking place in the local area with our partners. 

 

Project / Activity Information

 

Positive Future – a programme of positive fun activities to inspire and engage young people aged 11 – 25 – Closed Group to referred Young People only.

 

Detached – The detached youth workers will be out around Blaenau Gwent all summer, so join them for fun games, information and support.

 

Open 4 Youth – Join the Youth Service at our monthly young person (11 – 17) only evening at Ebbw Vale Sports Centre. Huge range of activities available including hydro slides, football, gym, zorb balls, free running and much more – all for £1 per person.

 

Free Football Fridays – Gather your friends and enter a team in our weekly 5 a side leagues at Ebbw Vale and Abertillery sports centres. You can check your progress each week in updated league tables, finishing in a regional tournament that will bring everyone together on Friday 28th August at Ebbw Vale pitches.

 

Mobile Skate Park – The Outreach Youth workers will be out at various sites in Blaenau Gwent taking the mobile skate park, youth van and plenty of other fun activities for young people aged 11 – 18 to take part in.

 

Multi Media Project – Two days were young people learn how to take photos upload and us the state of the art computers to design a picture diary that tells a story about any topic the young people chose to work on. Young people also gain an accreditation from attending these two days - Limited spaces available.

 

Infant Simulator Workshops- For young people 14 -25 years old who would like to gain knowledge around taking care of infant and gain accreditations for attending this workshop / course - Limited Spaces Available.

 

Health & Wellbeing Sessions – Closed to Prevent / Lift Young People

Learn how to cook healthy along with the do’s and don’ts of dieting and exercise. Also workshops around anxiety and looking after your mental health with great taster sessions.

 

Employability Session – Closed to Prevent / Lift Young People

Get that extra bit of help with getting a job maybe its help with CV writing, meeting a careers advisor, help with moving from education to work or from comprehensive school to college life. Maybe its even just help with setting a plan to get that dream job you want.

 

Life Changes Project – Closed to Prevent / Lift Young People

Health and wellbeing activities, acupuncture ,cooking and eating together etc. Life Changes returning each week to share in the wide amount of  activities for young people to access advice , support and activities linked to issues that may be preventing them from engaging in education , employment and +training but also the wider community.
